Every piece in the Jigsaw series begins with a question: how do the parts come together? Built through altering and recomposition, the form is worked until each facet, curve, and plane clicks into place — that satisfying ahah moment when technique and composition finally fit. This pitcher is the full expression of that idea, its softly faceted body flowing up into a generous pouring lip and a gracefully pulled handle finished with a hand-formed spur.

Fired for 110 hours in the Pleasant Hill anagama wood kiln, the surface tells the story of the flame: rivers of golden, crystallized ash flashing pour down over cool drifts of blue-gray and lavender, catching the light like sugar caught mid-melt. The long firing gives every inch its own weather — no two angles read the same, and no two pieces from the kiln are ever alike.

Equally at home holding water, wine, or a bouquet of stems, or standing on its own as a sculptural piece.
